A few years back I had decided that I wanted to start a photography business of my own. Its been a slow start, but I know that I’m in it for the long haul. As the saying goes, its a marathon, not a sprint.
After brainstorming (and coming up with some pretty cheesy names) I must say when “Painted Eye Photography” came up, it just felt right. Thinking about all the cutesy catch phrases and play on words and photo topics, I decided that wasn’t for me and my business.

Iris in the eye : is the part responsible for controlling the diameter and size of the pupil and thus the amount of light reaching the retina. The color of the iris is often referred to as “eye color.”
Iris in mythology: is the personification of the rainbow and messenger of the gods. She is also known as one of the goddesses of the sea and the sky. Iris links the gods to humanity.
Iris in a camera : is the diaphragm, the opening that acts as the aperture. An analogous device in a photographic lens is called an iris diaphragm.
